Personal coaching is for people who want more one-on-one attention and direct problem-solving to help reach their diabetes and health-related goals. With personal coaching, you gain a teacher, cheerleader, shoulder to lean on, and coach to push your forward.
Coaching is all about one-on-one focus to help you reach your goals. Some people want to lower their A1c, others want to start a fitness routine, still others want to focus on the transition to low carb. We work together to identify your goals and then create a plan of action with the steps and accountability to help you reach your goals.
A coaching "package" is a minimum of six weeks to focus on your goals and your needs. This coaching package consists of one-on-one video calls with Lisa La Nasa of diaVerge, detailed personalized recommendations, goal-setting, accountability, blood sugar meter/GGM reviews, meal planning and food assessments.
Every coaching session is customized so you learn what you need to reach your goals. After a careful assessment of your goals and where you're at currently in your diabetes management, we develop a plan of action together that will help you achieve better health and better blood sugar control.
Coaching is not a magic bullet. It's work. You need to commit 6-weeks minimum to hard work, accepting guidance, and tweaking your process until it works for you. The magic of coaching is that you're not alone throughout this process, you have a guide to encourage you and help you along the way.
Absolutely! Our 6-week program is the minimum timeframe necessary to see change in your health and A1C, but many of our coaching clients choose to continue with the support of coaching after the initial coaching package and renew for 3, 6 or 9-month coaching extension packages.
Every client is different. Many people want or need supporting information on certain topics. We provide customized materials such as food and fitness logs, workouts, accountability resources, ebooks, recipes, low carb "cheat sheets", questions for their medical professionals, and supporting links to studies and articles.
